I believe I have mentioned my library at home. A select few books accompany me to Dublin. The choosing process is tough on them. They all stand in the bookcase, plump up their pages, try to look endearing. But only my favourites along with a few of the ‘I really need to read this’ books get picked. Here are those books. I have my favourite authors as you may see from below! I will get round to updating these with summaries/why you should/who should read these. Someday. After exams. For now, here you go!
In my Dublin Bookcase:
A LOT of Medical textbooks. A lot. I mean.. really quite a number. The entire Harry Potters series which I read at least once every 2-3 months from start to finish. I love Harry Potter. I really do. Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man Welcome to the world, Baby Girl A Redbird Christmas Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe Standing in the RainbowAll by Fannie Flagg
Feet of Clay Jingo The Fifth Elephant Men at Arms Making Money Night watch Thud Guards, Guards All by the amazing Terry Pratchett Notes from a Small Island Neither Here nor There A walk in the Woods The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid (One of my top 5 books of all time. Along with Rebecca and others)
All by Bill Bryson, writing genius and hero of Sarahs Jeeves and Wooster Omnibus By P.G. Wodehouse (I say) The Magus By John Fowles Uncle Tom’s Cabin By Harriet Beecher Stowe Rule Britannia The House on the Strand The Birds and other stories Don’t look now and other stories All by another favourite- Daphne du Maurier (who wrote Rebecca and whom Hitchcock loved!) Better By Atul Gawande Cookbooks. Many. I will catalogue them but not right now.
Great selection of book, dearie! I also re read the Harry Potters frequently as a form of comfort. I also adore P.G. Wodehouse 🙂
Isn’t he just fantastic! And the TV series was even fantastic, tho books are better. Hugh Laurie will always be Bertie Wooster for me, not House! I must properly catalogue all of my favourites, I’m the biggest booknerd. And proud of it 😀
If you like Wodehouse I recommend Bryson. He’s legendary!
